1. What should I expect during my first therapy session?
​Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and establish a foundation for our work together. We'll discuss your goals for therapy, any concerns you have, and what you're hoping to achieve. I'll ask some questions to better understand your background, current situation, and what brings you to therapy. This is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the process and for us to determine how we can best work together.
2. How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be beneficial for anyone seeking to improve their mental and emotional well-being. Whether you’re dealing with specific challenges like anxiety or depression, or simply looking for personal growth and self-improvement, therapy provides a supportive space to explore and address your concerns. If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, feel free to reach out for a consultation to discuss your needs and how therapy might help.
3. How does teletherapy work?
Teletherapy is conducted through a secure, confidential video platform that allows you to connect with me from the comfort of your own space. You’ll receive a link to join the session via email after booking. All you need is a quiet, private space, and a device with internet access. Teletherapy offers the same quality of care as in-person sessions, with the added convenience of accessing therapy from wherever you are.
4. Is therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy is confidential. Everything discussed in our sessions is private, and your information is protected by strict confidentiality laws. The only exceptions are situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, in which case I may be required to take appropriate action to ensure safety. We’ll discuss confidentiality in more detail during your first session.
5. What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. You can reschedule by logging into the booking system, calling, or emailing us.
6. What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept various forms of payment, including credit cards and electronic transfers. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
